We are the Kiwanis Club of Columbia, Missouri

The Kiwanis Club of Columbia, Missouri, is dedicated to making the world better one child at a time. Organized on April 5, 1922, it is one of the oldest service clubs in Mid Missouri and is part of an international organization with more than 600,000 members in 80 countries.  In a century of service to the Columbia area, the Kiwanis Club has helped fund dozens of programs that provide for the care, welfare and enrichment of Columbia kids. All fundraising activities of the club go entirely to these child-serving programs, which is why we believe “Kids Need Kiwanis.”

Kiwanis Service

Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.

Our Kiwanis club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child in our community at a time. To reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities, our club and many others sponsor a Kiwanis family club — K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities. The Kiwanis Club of Columbia is active in Columbia Public Schools, the University of Missouri and Woodhaven center for adults living with disabilities.

We serve

Our Kiwanis club fulfills the Kiwanis mission by serving our community through Kiwanis Community Service Projects. Among other groups, we regularly volunteer with First Chance for Children and the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri.
